    (1) The FPF Golf Performance & Conditioning Program

This unique program is designed to improve your golf game by developing a solid plan that includes strength training, flexibility programming, core training, and balance. This formula is rewarding, as is the shot that keeps you in the game. The program includes:

EVALUATION - Golfers undergo a comprehensive in-house evaluation by a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (C.S.C.S.), Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC/L) or a Titleist Performance Institute Golf Fitness Instructor (TPI-CGFI).

VISUAL SWING & POSTURE ASSESSMENT - Posture while striking the ball, putting stance, and an assessment of abdominal/low back strength. Part of our assessment includes the use of the AlignaBod for posture, and the Beltronics™ Swing Mate swing speed device that will aid in our program design. We utilize a full 10x10x10 swing cage, complete with Range Land accessories.

MOVEMENT/FLEXIBILITY SCREEN - A daily stretching program coupled with the TRUEstretch© Golf Performance Stretch Cage will emphasize the direct functional movement's specific to golfers. Secondly, the use of our functional movement screen will help identify any swing flaws or possible impingements.

EXERCISE PROGRAMMING - Individualized weight training recommendations focusing on the muscles of the abdomen, back, hips, shoulders and forearms.

BALANCE- balance training provides stabilization and control during the golf swing.

CARDIOVASCULAR TRAINING - Guidelines for aerobic conditioning options that help you reach a safe and appropriate training zone, thus maximizing your time and effort.

    FPF - Training Options
The Initial Evaluation Session will take an hour and fifteen minutes to complete. Each additional session last's one hour in duration. While the recommended frequency and duration of exercise sessions will depend on the initial evaluation, a typical program will start with 1-3 sessions/week.

    (2) Golf Game Improvement

A golf fitness specialist can be your key to fitness and success in improving your golf game. At FPF, our TPI conditioning specialists, athletic trainers and resident golf professional can be the link that transports you to the next level. Let us design and implement a custom golf fitness program that is safe and effective for you.

You will improve your swing mechanics, increase flexibility, gain strength and enhance balance & coordination, resulting in more length off the tee, less swing fatigue and the reduction of undue stress on the muscles and joints. You will hit farther and score lower.
    (3) Golf Related Injuries

Due to the high speed and rotational mechanics involved in the movement of the golf swing, golfers are often subject to new aches and pains. They can also aggravate problems that were previously dormant or had gone unnoticed. Examples include:
    • Spine - degenerative arthritis, disc bulges in the back and neck
    • Shoulders - rotator cuff tendonitis, impingement syndrome
    • Elbows and Wrists - golfer's elbow, tendonitis, thumb arthritis
    • Hips and Knees - osteoarthritis, total joint replacement, bursitis
We are ready for the challenge!
    (4) Personal Training-One-On-One Services

Personal Training-One-On-One services are detailed one-hour sessions with your athletic trainer; more time can be allotted depending on goal specific criteria. Training sessions are outlined weekly, monthly or bi-monthly depending on the goals set forth by you and your trainer. These sessions are great for those who are seeking a detailed play-by-play instruction on their fitness routine.
    (5) Athletic/Sports Conditioning-Sport-Specific training

Athletic/Sports Conditioning-Sport-Specific training is typically geared for high school, collegiate, and professional athletes that are looking for physical, and or biomechanical enhancements to specific athletic development in their chosen discipline. Athletes are now training year round and off-season conditioning can be the edge they need at their level of competition. Conditioning for sports has become a focal component for sports training.

At Focal Point Fitness, you will refine your expertise by performing functional sport-specific exercises, injury prevention and plyo-metric drills for strength, speed and acceleration.
